Aperture 1.1, the universal binary version of Aperture with additional technological advancements was released last week. The software will now be priced at $299 (a $200 price decrease from the original version). With this new price point, Aperture 1.1 can now be used by professional photographers, as well as "advanced amateurs," or anyone shooting with a digital SLR camera that wants to do more to edit their shots.
